40v cam locking kit

Hi all,

I don't suppose anyone around the oxfordshire area has a cam locking kit for the 4.2 40v engine in my D2 A8 that I could hire? Will be doing the cam belt and ancillaries during the early part of May so wanted to be prepared. If not local, I'm prepared to travel, within reason.

Not sure if it fits, but i have locking kit from D3 4.2 BFM engine lying around - SE London.

Sounds good. Pretty sure its the same. Is it the Sealey kit? Is it for sale or hire?

I have the Audi cam locking bar and crank locking pin for the D2 V8. You can borrow them for 29 plus P&P and a returnable deposit equal to the value of the items which i hope you will understand.

Sealey VS4827 yes. If you're sure it fits you can have it for 50£, I don't see needing it in near future.

I have the 40V 4.2 locking bar, and crank locking pin, and fan removal fork/wrench, but I don't have the cam sprocket pullers. You can borrow them for free if you are willing to pick them up from my house in Sidcup SE London, the catch is I'm only around 'till 3pm tomorrow, I got to catch a flight then away on holiday for 2 weeks.

There a guy on rs246 that rents out the full kit - inc the bits that only Audi do - dunno what price he charges though.
