Looking at the ferry times I am "minded" to aim for the 14:30 Irish Ferries fast crossing to Holyhead.
With a 4 hours plus drive home from there we'd get back home while it was still light, around 9pm which is fine.

Coordinating the ferries from Wales at the start is more important, do we need to start coordinating directly by email etc. on that and other points?
Obviously it's a bit "chicken and egg" but I'm reluctant to book ferries without some other firming up of arrangements and other commitments as discussed - e.g. funding walkie-talkies etc.

Patience, oh patience! I'm currently trying to put all the information together and that entails speaking to b&b's and guest houses up and down Ireland. I've been rather left to do all this on my own - so please can all be patient and wait until I've done this and then full information will be provided to those coming but not on here, by pm or email once all is in place! Won't be long now but I can't go any faster than I'm going

Driver packs have now been emailed to all of those who have said they are coming along with guidance on hotels etc.
If anyone else has decided they would like to come with us on this epic trip, then say now or forever hold your peace!
(oh and if you dont come then you'll be missing the best road trip holiday you could possibly have!! )

Thanks gents for putting in all the effort on this, looks great, and I've started making some of the bookings already - though Mrs Kramer's seems full already (of Americans..) for 6th June, so I'm in next door, which has three more rooms available if anyone else is looking (number is +3532750223, talk to Therese).

Also - do you have a google map of the whole route, as well as just the sections, or did I miss that? Would be handy to have.

Agreed, they've done a grand job.
I've booked in at Mrs Kramers OK, they have 6 rooms reserved for us that were all in Mikes name, so I'd check with Mike/Neil and call again. So far we are just 6 cars.

I'm pretty much booked right through (just one awaiting confirmation via Neil) at least provisionally, there are some we will review nearer the time and consider changing if there are better options at a decent price.

Hmm I think the americans you speak of is Mike/Neil - the booking we already made! Mrs Kramer is hard going. . . lol

I dont have a map of the whole route but each map in the drivers handbook can be clicked on to bring up that section of the route. Google maps didnt allow for the accuracy of varying the route as much as we needed to do over the whole number of waypoints and stops. You might be abe to add each of them to a single file on google and then overlay them all as layers?

Aw, she's lovely, though English isn't her first language (nor is it Irish/Gaelic!).

Piggy banks totally raided and all accommodation booked (finally), so it looks like I'm definitely doing the trip.

Glad you're able to make it Sean, thoroughly looking forward to everyone's company on what should be an amazing holiday. You certainly didn't leave us "in the lurch" in fact if you hadn't reccy-ed the entire journey then we wouldn't have known which bits to include or exclude so a group effort!
