Retro-fitting a 220v inverter?
Hi - has anyone done this please? I know it was an option in some cars...

In theory, it looks simple looking at the parts diagram, but I don't know about any specifics in relation to the wiring of it, or if additional wiring is required if the inverter is fitted.
The parts diagram shows the inverter as being a non-exchangeable part (#61), but comes as part of assembly #54. The second diagram shows what appears to be the 230v plug when opened, but where do the 12v sockets (#10, #11 & #12) go? If it's as simple as just replacing #61, then the part number for the UK spec one is 4H0864051H. There is also a 3-digit code for your interior colour. If the car has the extended centre console, the part number is different! Price seems to be over £300, but price data isn't up to date. If buying online, make sure the inverter is included in the assembly, as a few that I looked up didn't appear to include the inverter, going by the photos.
