Notification Emails - Lack Of

Are people still getting email notifications to threads they're subscribed to?

I haven't received any emails today, but on checking the forum, of the four new posts since I was last on, I'm subscribed to three of the threads.

I had this issue just over a year ago, when I stopped getting notifications to my gmail account, so set a new one using MS Outlook. That's been working fine until the last few days, and the emails aren't going into the Spam folder.

I don't think I have subscribed to any threads but I used to get emails for private messages but not any more.

I have had a look at your settings and you should be receiving email notifications, so i've done the good old 'off and on again'.
Hopefully that does the trick for you

Thanks Katie, but unfortunately, despite just checking my Outlook account beforehand, I didn't receive any notification about your post.

I've deleted the only rule I had in Outlook, which was basically to not treat any email from A8parts as spam, which I only set up once it started putting them there. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

If it doesn't work, I can still see any new posts by clicking on the 'New Posts' below the forum header, as well as posts to threads I'm not subscribed to.

Hmm, definitely a strange one. I'll run it up the flagpole and check there's not an issue running deeper!

Almost 9 years after joining this forum, I've only now just found out about the "New Posts" link at the top of the page.
Thanks Sean. You've saved me another 9 years of scanning all the groups for new posts.

I've always checked my email first and checked out the threads where I've had a notification, and once I've gone through them, I use the 'New Posts' to see what else is happening, as there may be threads that I like reading, but have never subscribed to.

It's strange that I received them in my Gmail account since 2013, up until January 2024, and now my Outlook one is doing the same. Needless to say, I didn't receive a notification about yours or Katie's latest post.

Got my first notification in just over two weeks, yet there have been updates to numerous threads I'm subscribed to.

It doesn't help that MS Outlook still treats them as Spam, despite having a rule in place to say they're not.
