Air suspension won't lift
The option to raise the suspension is greyed out. I suspect it could be to do with a Software version mis-match which is flagged up on the diags machine.
I did update the MMI with a flash from TheNavMan, but their website doesn't seem to be working so I can't contact them to ask. Any other ideas to troubleshoot please?

Does the Suspension Wheel Change Mode = ON show in the MMI Service Menu?
If so, and you have not turned it on, it means the air suspension is deactivated due to a fault but you usually also get a yellow warning and message, as you have not mentioned that, maybe it is a software issue? |

Would this be why you're looking for someone with VCDS?
Since you don't have it, I'll ignore my first question to you. However, I have others: 1. Does the air suspension work in the other settings? 2. Are you getting any error lights on dash? 3. Are any corners sagging if left overnight or a few days?

It seems to be intermittent, sometimes the RAISE is greyed out and sometimes it isn't. Are there certain conditions where it doesn't allow you to raise the suspension?

The 'jack mode' is within the MMI, probably under Car. I believe when you set it, it locks the suspension so they stay at the same height after it's jacked up. That way it doesn't get confused with different sensor heights.
It's available at speeds up to 50mph and will lower above speeds of 62mph. It might be one the level sensors playing up, but you'll need access to VCDS or something similar.

Ok thanks, I've not used the jack mode yet yet but will be soon as I need a couple of PZero's.
