Lightbulb Leather Care Recommendation

Hi,

As most of you know, I have a black Sports interior and although it was in fairly good nick, you could see that it had been used a fair bit and so i started searching for a product that would help combat this.

I've used gliptone and liquid leather before and although they are good to keep an existing good set of leather great, they didn't necessarily revive it to the standard that i was hoping.

I bought a leather renovation kit from Woolies Trim

The cleaning product is very very good - the best i've seen on the market so far and it really brings the leather back to life. The dye is actually very very mild and the cleaning solution does about 80% of the work in this process.

Application is easy and it doesn't stick. I haven't added the last stage yet - the sealer - I am very impressed thus far. My seats look almost brand new again with noticeably fewer creases, tighter wrap around the cushions and enhanced colour. It even feels a lot better and more nourished.

Althought not cheap at 60 quid for 4 seats, the results i have gotten on my rear seats so far are really positive. Take a look at the following before and after pics below taken with my crummy 2MP iPhone camera.

I highly recommend this product and the supplier too....delivery was next day!

Rear Passenger-side Seat...

Rear Middle Seat...

Rear Drivers-side Seat...

After seeing it today, wow. In fact the whole interior was good. Not an Icefreak myself but nice to see a well thought out install. Yes, chrome knobs are better, fnar.

Default I tried the Woolies stuff too

Not so good on a light coloured leather - the thing I really wanted to sort out was the mess made by a kiddy seat on the rear o/s seat. But the driver's seat was also a little tired. My pics aren't as detailed as Oli's, but a before and after of the 2seats shows the difference. And, as Oli says, they feel much better too. There was a particularly dry section on the driver's seat that is now almost as new.

What kit did you end up using? Have you tried steam?

Trick of the trade once seats are clean... Use gliptone or similar "conditioner" in direct sunlight. Keep applying it, and you will find that the intense heat with the conditioner "pops" the creases out.

So it's not shifting the mark from the car seat? Is the leather damaged, or really dirty there?
