Indeed.
I think the short-term solution will be a simple mini-jack input using the video connector and disabling the TV. Unless someone knows the pinouts on the TV lead and the aux-in is actually separate from the TV sound? And there are "cheap as chips" rechargeable Bluetooth dongles to plug into the mini-jack for phones/players without a jack output. (I actually have one at home for my hifi amp; just can't find it at present.....)

1. From AUX-in lead documentation; 21=AUX-NF-GND, 22=AUX-NF-In-Left, 6=AUX-NF-In-Right. 2. From RNS-E label?; AUX-NF as above, 13=NF-In-Right, 14=SHIELD-GND, 15=In-sync, 16=In-G, 28=NF-In-GND, 29=NF-In-Left, 30=RGBS-In-GND, 31=In-B, 32=In-R So it would appear that the TV signals use different pins...…. Can anyone clarify what NF stands for? It also seems that the TV signal, like the RNS-D input, is RGB not CVBS. So we have Red, Green, Blue, Sync, stereo sound and various Grounds. This is why reversing cameras and aftermarket DVB-T boxes need extra interfaces; they almost invariable produce CVBS signals, occasionally HDMI as well, but never RGB. The ultimate question will be, can the RNS-E be successfully configured to allow both AUX-IN and TV, they are coded separately so can be specified together?

So this is now a non-requirement, though I did get the lead and code the RNS-E I never got round to fitting it, my son decided to "upgrade" his car at short notice!
Not content with a 4.2L V8 S4 Avant he's gone for something bigger, in every respect (including both bhp & cc!) though it is still a petrol V8. So if anyone wants an RNS-E Aux-in lead it's available for "beer money". It has a mini-jack plug on the end of the lead so can plug directly into the headphone socket on a phone or a Bluetooth unit.

The clue is in the bigger engine Adrian. A 4.4L X5. Not the insane 570bhp M version, just the "normal" 450bhp twin turbo xDrive50i.
S6 was too long for his current driveway. X5 is actually shorter. All my kids now have BMW's; two X5s (the 4.4 petrol and a 3.0 diesel) and a 140Msport about to be replaced by a 440i Gran Coupe.

It's yours Sean, just PM me your address.
I know I've got it somewhere, just easier to send it again. Should just about go in a large letter padded bag within the 25mm thickness limit.
