i'm gonna need a pit for this one.......undone all the 3 bolts on the mounting but its either going to need the sub frame dropping, the engine raising 2" or the 2 cast alloy sections bolted onto the side of the box taking off. Anyone know if the bolts are into blind tappings? I don't want to take the 2 cast alloy sections off, only to have the box fluid join me on the outside...... Have had to put it all back together until i get to a pit or ramp. Another fine plan shot down in flames!

apart from tyre noise she's pretty much silent. Deep JOY!
There was one particular part of the journey home i always got the noise (a dip in the road where a cable had been buried just before a junction stop) and all week shes been perfect. One of the bushes had a snapped elastic band (not really an issue) and the other one was very squashy and damp, not sure if they are hydraulic but if they are it was leaking! Happy the engine isn't moving now, was worried about cracking the 'zausts, now i just got the 40mph hiccup to solve....1 down, 1 to go.

i was all up for a few piccys (indeed i took a snap of the blighters in preparation) but it was such a pain getting them out all ideas of a carefuly crafted article went straight out of the window! Just be happy they don't die regularly so it wouldnt be used the access for the nuts and bolts is not too bad with a wheel off but lifting the engine up at the tail is tricky. Without direct undercar access (pit or ramp) it'd be all but impossible, and even then the bushes need to be "convinced" a bit.
