Front indicator bulb - what type?
I went to change the front indicator bulbs on my 2005 A8 D3 at the weekend to put in philips silver visions to give a clear lens look to the front end. I thought the bulbs would be PY21W with offset pins but instead I found these bulbs fitted below - they are 12v 16W and are audi part number 4E0941669 but I need to know the bulb type to try and source a silver version. Can anyone help me please?

Hi,
Not sure i can help much but I also went and had a look at them a few weeks back...I don't really understand the logic (apart from the financial incentive for Audi) as to why they would make bespoke bulbs to go in there ??? £16 a pop, at 2 either side will set you back £64 just for replacing your front indicator bulbs.....madness! I had a very quick go at taking the bulb itself out but struggled - if you do manage it, would you mind posting a quick 'how-to'? Cheers, Oli
