Yes, I did drive it the 11 miles to the air con specialist looking like that, I did reattach the bonnet though.
Getting degassed Radiators off in this picture, its just leaning up against the car On the weekend I rekon it will be treated to a full paintwork correction detail as a treat, expect to see this little monster at the next annual meet, complete with its new S8 front grill

Conan - Doing the engine is a little extreme for me, when the bonnet arrives, I will Duragloss it, clay it, menz IP it with a G220, then power gloss it and seal it with some Dodo

Quick question - about half a litre or so of ATF (guesstimate) came out when I took the ATF pipe out of the radiator. The car has just hit 70k miles (96 model, 4 speed box) and never had a fluid change. Should I get this done? Or should I just buy a litre from Audi and top up what came out?
Also while at Audi, is there a particular type of coolant that I should use? Will be doing the fluid change myself as I dont trust Audi to clean out all the sump magnets etc. and run it through the gears and refill if neccessary so labour charges ain't a problem. Thanks in advance

Four speed boxes have rarely had any issues so I would just top up what you've lost.
The Coolant you need is G12++. To be sure it is pink in colour and if your existing coolant is not pink flush with fresh water, drain and replace with G12++.

Thanks Conan, exsisting coolant was pink. Where can I get some more G12++ from? Is this an Audi only part? Also how much will I need?
