Missing Build codes

Hi Guys,
Can someone help me with the following question.
Having checked my build codes from the service book and inside the spare wheel boot well there seems to be some codes missing for my car.

My car is equiped with the following extras :
Rear electric & manual side blinds
Heated electric rear seats with electric lumbar support.
Upgraded Bose sound system.
Deep pile overmats.

Was this an Comfort Option Pack on the 1997 D2 A8 QS at the time, and if so why are they not listed on the build codes.
Also, does anyone no the build codes for these items individually?

From my experience, the build codes generally affect parts that are more difficult to identify (ie they have no part number etching, or there is a chance the parrt number will be eroded over time) or where it would be particularly useful for the workshop to know exactly what it should be.

So, it covers brakes, suspension, wheels, batteries, glass etc but doesnt tend to cover much in the way of interior enhacements, which (presumably) are more obvious and easier to identify....

Its only a theory mindst - I've always thought its odd that the build codes dont contain every unique feature of a car, its not like a slightly bigger piece of paper would have broken the budget

What's your main way of determining a full spec of a car the?...just asking/reading combined with a build sticker or is there anything else one can do?

phone Audi UK, they will give you the full list of options factory fitted

Mainly the sad expertise of squinting at photos, and looking out for bits that give it away. If you have the reg no though, ringing Audi is the best way of finding out what was ordered from the factory. There is a dedicated pay per minute phone number now, which Audi customer services will give you.

Note though on my old A8 D3, the sales order didnt show the Adaptive Cruise control, yet when I pressed them, they found it on the build sticker... weird.. !

my build sticker lists the options fitted to mine?? It has heated seats, 17" wheels, blinds, solar roof and bose all on the build sticker. It probably has other things but they are all on there!

Bare in mind also that the available decoders online can be a bit hit and miss....may be worth trying more than one and checking your zeros and O's etc
