Default Classic Additions Outdoor Car Cover

Hi,

I just wanted to recommend Classic Additions Car Covers. I saw them on a stand a few weeks back at the Birmingham Classic Motor Show and was impressed with their quality after having gone down the Halfrauds route. The materials are non-scratch, triple layered, well-elasticated and come with 3 good length straps for securing it.

This is the lightweight breathable outdoor cover Size E which fits the 8 like a glove. I got it at a special show discount and they also threw in a tax disc window kit and cable lock free of charge.

As my car only moves on the weekends, it helps keep the 8 protected, clean and a little more secure.

Overall very happy!

Oli

That does fit well Oli - couldnt you get them to put 4 x "wheel windows" in the sides to show off the refurbed wheels?

Impressive cover Oli.

One question: Because it's 'breathable' does it mean the car will get wet during rainy weather?

Haha - half the reason i want them covered too is because i'm a little more cautious of envious eyes now that they're refurbed!

Yes, so just to be clear, this is not a fully waterproof cover. I purposefully went for a breathable cover to ensure that any moisture could still evaporate through the material.

The heavy-duty waterproof covers do need to be put on a completely dry car and are more used for long-term storage/protection when your car is parked outside. I believe it suits those that are taking their cars off the road for extended periods better than those still requiring regular use of their vehicle.

The lightweight cover fitted my driving habits better as i still use the car on the weekends and i can't guarantee that the car will always be dry when i put the cover back on.

The dream is to one day have a garage big enough for the 8 and the Alfa Spider to fit in and have both wrapped with tailored red indoor covers when parked

Hi Brian, yeah I got it as a 30th bday present for my wife back in March. She's a beauty but it's been interesting owning it...typically italian lol.

I've had to change the radiator, fan resistors, tyres, radio/speakers and i've still got brakes on my list to finish her off. Spending a bit of time on the AlfaOwner forum, the moto very much seems to be...."Buying an Alfa doesn't just mean you opt into ownership...it's a relationship!"....

That said, it's stunning to look at when clean and with the top down and the 2.0 Twin Spark engine is an absolute joy giving a massive grin factor especially in the summer

looks stunning, and understand your comments on Italian car ownership, theres been a few in our family over the years, in fact I think all of my wifes cars have been Italian. I would love to get a Brera as a daily but cant convince SWMBO yet

To add my halfpenny.
No vehicle cover should be completely waterproof. After a cool night warm air will condense moisture onto your bodywork (think dew). Most mornings you see this on uncovered cars. Covered cars can get just as wet, so you need a breathable cover.
The best covers are both waterproof and breathable (like Gautex).
Oli , I'd be interested to hear how you cover fares after its seen a few months of summer.
