The S8 will live on

After receiving numerous e-mails and PM's and texts and all sorts of messages possible with people asking me not to break the S8, I didn't realise how much you guys loved it. I had people telling me to get my head tested and all sorts.

At Audi's in the park, Ben just said to me that I couldn't break it and it was to good to, out of impulse I said in front of everyone 'okay then, I'll put in another engine' so with witnesses there, I can't go back on my word.

To be honest I didn't realise how good a car it was until now, it drove like a dream. Yes the engine and gearbox went, but the car had been looked after all its life. Not only by me, but its previous owner too. I barely ever took it over 3.5k RPM, It felt very tight to drive and then there is the Audi exclusive colour.

So I'm going to put an S8 engine in when one becomes available, and lavish it. The new car will most likely become the daily for now whilst the S8 will take place as the nicer car that I can get to a show car standard. I'm going to wait for Ben to finish of a project he is working on a certain S8 that should give it big power and then after seeing the results. Will put this car through the same program.

Watch this space X 69 YGX has a lot of life left in her yet and hopefully I can get her to Edersee 2011, I know a few members were keen to see the car as they loved the colour.
