I have a genuine cable (NOT for sale), and if you want, can come up with it and you can run through the procedure with it.
As for buying a genuine one, you can buy the 3-VIN one from
Gendan for £225. The unlimited VIN one is £575.
There is an older style one on eBay that doesn't have the VIN limitation, but it's already sitting at
£220.00 with 23 hours left.
