Lovely car, and like the contrasting 50/50 split of light and dark interior.

Thanks |Andrew. I'd love to be keeping the D3. It is the last of the naturally aspirated motors, but as I have never got the garage building project off the ground it'd be outside, and that less than ideal with a car that will see only sporadic use, so its looking for a new home

Nice looking motor Nick, and I understand when you say I probably know.
I apologise if my demonstration made you spend time and bucks.
I'm toying with the idea of letting mine go, bloody insurance has doubled, thinks it's my age.

I thought I was going to add another S8 Plus to our ranks today, 5 hour trip to Ipswich and back to realise the car doesn't have HUD, which is a must have for me. My fault entirely, just didn't think to check as thought it was standard on the Plus

Think I'm going to revert my focus to a nicely specced D5, the search goes on.

(PS Still looking for a low mileage D2 S8 too in addition)

You can see in the picts if they have HUD, it being the square box sitting between the speedo cluster binnacle and windscreen.
This could be a good time to get a decent S8 with the D5 S8 now being delivered and some good examples getting traded in.
Apart from the S model the D5's seem to comprise only V6's, either diesel or petrol. I've seen some 2019/2020's with delivery mileage for pretty much what I paid for the D4. If you're going to be doing a lot of miles the D5 is probably the rational way to go, and I believe that HUD is standard on them
