That’s not what’s broken. I’ve replaced these on my 3 ‘8s a number of times but, on this occasion, as you can see in the photo, the arms are intact. It’s the connection to the bellows that’s broken.

Well, the Land Rover part arrived and I fitted it today. The part number and manufacturer's stamp on the back of the bellows are identical (see photo). And it all seems to work fine.

The only teeny snag was that the tube on the back that attaches to the vacuum pipe didn't line up properly with the mounting bracket hole, but there doesn't seem any reason that it has to.

The Land Rover part, with postage and VAT, was about £100, so a much better option that the Audi parts ot the Chinese copies.

Good that you've sorted that Jim And also good to find out that there is a source for another part that doesn't suffer Audi inflation or is NLA

isn't that why Jim replaced the part, because it wasn't inflating?... Sorry, I'll get my coat!

Just a quick update on this. First, ignore my comment about the location of the vacuum pipe - the internal unit that has the bracket attached to it rotates, so you can get it to fit perfectly.
Second, the unit I bought failed (the bracket pulled off the clip at the top of the bellows, but it didn’t break) and the people I bought it from (British Parts) don’t want to know. I have checked the link to the manifold is free, so I think the cause is a poorly moulded clip. See photo for Hella part number.
Finally, I repaired the old bellows! If the bellows are not torn and it’s just the clip that’s broken, you can cut/break off the remaining part of the clip, drill a small pilot hole in the plastic disc inside the bellows and use a self tapping screw and washer to attach the bracket. Seems to be working fine, but I’ll report back after a few more miles. See photo for repair in situ.
