I'm looking for a place to power a dashcam without having to bring a wire down the a-pillar. I thought about using the circuit for the On Star which I have since disconnected at the fuse panel because the green LED was very annoying when driving at night.
I've managed to remove the light covers and fascia. However on page two of the guide above, it states, Roof electronics control unit -J528- must be reencoded after renewing. Does this mean I have to use VCDS to reencode the roof electronics control unit if I remove the rest of the electronics? I do not have VCDS so I don't want to go any further if I need to. Thanks! ![]() |
