I just did a Google search on 'METZGER 8029028' and there seems to be quite a few listed on eBay Germany, but they either won't post to the UK or are charging around 30 Euro. Here's one example, with other similar ones below the listing:

Just an update
My mate managed to fix the leak
As stated front driver side diff seal and he replaced passenger side CV boot for me
Got him to scan for my PDC issue - comes up with a front and rear sensor out however he says he can hear them buzzing but he said he would go with the the diagnostics

Does anyone know a company that supplies and colour codes/paints them for you?

Also managed to source my gearbox service kit - awaiting sump pan screws as mentioned above - thanks for that

Just get a good used sensor from forum sponsor.

A genuine new colour coded pdc sensor would cost lots and lots of money.

So think my diff is leaking again
He’s gonna have another look
Any info what it could be?
Unless leak is from new source now?

That's a pain. Probably done this yourself, but the only suggestion is to give that surrounding area a really good clean of all oil and grime, and then check it after a short run, in case the oil is coming from somewhere above it. Depending on how bad it is, you might need to check it a few times... or after a longer run.

They leak from all three output flanges. If the driver's side was leaking, its 99% sure the passenger side is too. Always assume the rear output flange leaks unless you've just had it changed - they only last a few years.

Thanks guys
I have managed to get all the service parts so he’s gonna do oil change and will check the seals again.
I have all the gearbox service kit but he said he would struggle as no more access to a ramp at VW so doubt he would be do the rear output seal for me

The rear output shaft seal can be done with just a set of normal ramps, a trolley jack and a couple of axle stands. Obviously not as easy as a proper lift, but doable.

Hi
Fuel filter oil filter air filter changed
All output seals are dry
He is saying it’s the drain bolt from the gearbox pan. The seal around it has perished and leaking. Now I have had a look under and all the bolts are rusty.
I have managed to get the 27 gearbox pan bolts as mentioned previously but just require the drain plug bolt
Does anyone have a part number for this?
Looking at some kits they come with 2 bolts a smaller and a larger one.
I already have the smaller one but not sure what that’s for?
I have the oil the filter and the gasket already so just need the correct size drain bolt
Thanks in advance
