Going by how young Connor is, I'd say well before 2014 (my first meet). I can only identify yourself, Beverley and BrianG.

Hi all, so it looks like most of the regulars are keen!

I just wanted to run some prices for the hotel by people first as I’m aware in previous years people have suggested cheaper options

The main issue in the lakes and especially in June finding something which can accommodate us all on a budget is reasonably difficult.

Here are the prices I’ve been offered so far

Hotel - https://www.castlegreenhotel.co.uk/

Double room - £370 for 2 nights bed and breakfast based on 2 people sharing and £330 for single occupancy. This includes use of facilities also which are a swimming pool and sauna (ideal for the other half’s)

Dinner would also be optional at £35pp for the Saturday night which includes a 3 course meal.

I am aware the costs are slightly higher so I have also checked locally and there is a premier inn within 4 minutes drive which would be £248 for 2 nights based on a double room and 2 people.

Let me know your thoughts

Darren, Connor, Andrew, Beverley, Adrian, me, Ollie and it's the Leopard Inn either at the 2011 summer meet at Stonleigh Park or one of the Xmas meets.

ETA looks like the 2011 Xmas meet by the Xmas tree menu

Hi Connor. The people who have voiced the need for a cheaper room and a more central location still didn’t come to the Leamington Spa meet, which was designed to address those comments! The hotel looks good - we’re in!

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Think we're in as well, and and in addition to the Premier Inn Connor mentions, there are a number of other cheaper options close by, including Travelodge, Guest Houses and a number of camping options too. All are close enough to allow those wishing to explore those options to be able to come along to the main hotel in the evening.

Is the £370 refundable/cancellable/transferable if something changes?

The hotel has agreed they will block 10 rooms for 30 days. After that the rate may change. If booked within the 30 days the balance is due 2 weeks before arrival.
