I'm definitely up for it, provided we can combine with a longer trip further North that we haven't finalised yet, linked to a "significant chronological event" or two.
As SWMBO will be with me I'll have to wait for details of the venue and a "consultation period" before I can say more.

I'm hoping the venue will be accessible enough to get there reasonably early after an early doors start from "down 'ere".
As an example we left home at 5am in the old S8 one June a year or so back and hit Cairndow (Loch Fyne Oyster bar at Clachan to be precise) exactly at midday for lunch!

Edit: I also need to be back from that trip in time to take the S8 to Le Mans.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Good Man! The intended venue has been selected with the intention of not being too far beyond the end of the motorway system yet close enough to the sights and scenery so that we can get straight into it on Saturday morning. In fact the distance will be very similar to the Loch Fyne Oyster bar.
We hope to be able to provide info on accommodation and general intentions after this weekend.

Yeh, we've got a meet!

Just off to see the hotel with David & Brian. We're also going to look at 'overspill' hotels as that's 9 of the 16 rooms gone already.

Had a Burns Supper meeting last night to look at 'attractions' along the way - do we have a great weekend in store for you guys!

Hope to post the venue later today.
