Heated windscreen and auxiliary heater for me. I just hate when I need to go to work or somewhere else in the rush and need to scrape ice off the windows or wait for it to warm up and melt it or demist.

The backup idea is to fit aftermarket remote/timer start as it's cheaper option.

Alas, my A8 is indeed without ACC but our work cars have adaptive cruise so I'm well used to it

ACC is awesome.. though dangerous when you use other cars that don't have it :P

Aux heaters are great in the winter.. I need to sort mine out in the A8 as it's taken the huff, but it just seems like it needs a reset.

Aint it just, just for laughs some time ago I went on Audi Configurator and specced up a new S8 to the hilt and it was worth more than my house

I've done that.
And I keep doing it.

One of my all time dreams of walking in to Audi and saying I want everything on that A8 and make it Viper Green.

I want Aux heater and ACC.
I know I said one mod but since I got to strip a lot of the car down to fit a Aux heater, it be rude not fit the ACC at the same time.

I did the same and managed to select all the things that sounded nice and mine came to £146,000! But hand on a minute, let's look at these options and ask yourself what sort of person is buying these?

order code YVX:- Audi exclusive personalised door sill trims @ £2,700 inc vat
order code YSG:- Audi exclusive carpet and floor mats @ £2,145 inc vat
or just order the floor mats @ £485!
order code YTO:- Audi exclusive seatbelts @ £1,635
order code YSX:- Audi exclusive folding grab rails with wood inserts @ £1,050!

Some of these things are just beyond silly, don't get me wrong on a massive lottery win, I would love to pick a car and say to the dealer I want fully loaded, and repeat the words whilst still shaking his hand on the deal "fully Loaded!" but the car is just going to be so extreme it's untrue.

I've been on a previous car forum and there they did a little review where they did a line up of the car in top spec and it's cost compared to the the fully loaded spec on that car and then calculated the percentage of options and the Merc S Class at the time was 43% of the top end price! so someone has gone in and bought the best car that Mercedes build for luxury and then thought I need to spend another 43% on this car just to make it good enough for me? Crazy!

Regards, Mark.

Model: MY 2008 08 3.0TDI Quattro Sport, Black on Black (Transporter Edition) Lowered 60mm on drop link bars. Alloys swapped out to RS6 style 20" x 9.5". It's got full tints on all windows, and has the black leather interior. Remapped by Elite Automotive in Cornwall, giving an increase output to 290bhp/450lbs.

Options: Keyless Entry & Start, Bluetooth Hands Free, Quad Zone Climate, 3 Spoke Sports Tiptronic Multi Function Steering Wheel, Black Leather Comfort Seats, AMI, Drivers & Passenger Electric Memory Seats, Auto Dimming Mirrors, Bi-Xenons.

Future Plans:
Selling my current Audi A8 Quattro Sport and replace is with a newer D4 Audi A8L with the 4.2V8 Twin Turbo setup once again it must be black. I'm looking for one with the options added where it has the rear recliing seats, with heated outers. Bose speakers minimum and B&O's if affordable. Rear and back door sun blinds prefered.

Planned Mods:
Upon the arrival of my A8L D4, I will be once again having the ECU remapped to a performance setting over economy. Rear Tints as dark as can go whilst also tinting the front windows with a medium tint. Once again I will be purchasing lowering links for the air ride suspension and setting it at 55mm lower when in comfort as my desire rideheight over standard. Alloys will be 21" however the one current most likly to be the next car already has a brand new set of 2016 S8Plus wheels on it.

Would probably opt for heated seats over a Bose system, since my car sits outside all the time.
