This might be a bit lateral and inappropriate (and I've just woken up…
 ) but do you need to have both the A4 and A8 with concurrent active policies? If you can live without driving the 8 whilst selling the 4, you could transfer your policy to the 4 temporarily, assuming you can put the 8 somewhere safe for the duration of that transfer..
