What do MRC charge for a gearbox oil and filter change, out of interest?
Think mine was about £250 once you'd taken the cost of the range select switch and engine oil service out of the bill. 8 litres of oil, plus the filter and gasket set

If they're doing a full health check I'm sure the gearbox oil level and diff oil levels would form part of that check, plus it'll be on the lift for service anyway. If you're spending that much there's usually room for movement on labour bill
