Hi Boys
Sorry for the late reply.
I am limited time wise to what I can do, but with some patience and understanding it could be done

Picked up few samples of new products yesterday from a supplier, two main ones I was interested in is a thicker darker colour brushed aluminium one and a new 3 layer carbon which is exactly same as per last uploaded photos but with a thick high gloss layer on top for guys who don't like the matt finish and want to get finish as close to OEM look as possible.

Bare in mind that trim isnt secured from the back and properly clipped in to the door card hence it's not flushed and there is a little imperfection on the brushed trim due to rushing and not paying attention.

Will do some day shots tomorrow most likely with the trim on my grey interior.

Above trim in pure daylight and on the Platinum interior vs. matt finish and light brushed aluminium.
Just to add, I've tried to scratch/swirl the gloss coating using really rough clothes (so day to day cleaning), metal bit on the seat belt and nothing leaves the mark. I'm sure if I take a key and really go hard on it them it will scratch same as any other material.
It's a nice thick material, slightly more difficult to work on but at the same time more forgiving in higher temperatures when shaping and stretching.
Gloss coating seems to be a really good quality one so the finish will last for a long time.
And obviously it's so much easier and cheaper to replace a scratched piece

I will be changing my trim for sure. Will keep the current silver brushed aluminium trim, but may change it to the dark grey one later on as it's closer to the original grey finish.
Carbon look will looks very nice against the standard grey trim as well, probably even better than any of the brushed aluminium ones.

Hi Marcin,

The glossy carbon looks really nice - I'm thinking about doing the same for my wife's BMW 118d m-sport and just wondered if you wouldn't mind sharing details of the manufacturer?

Thanks,

Oliver

The carbon looks great!!! hope I'm not asking too much here but do you supply and fit? Would love to get this done on mine as I have the 2 tone leather which I think it would work well with.
