The main issue in the lakes and especially in June finding something which can accommodate us all on a budget is reasonably difficult.

Here are the prices I’ve been offered so far

Double room - £370 for 2 nights bed and breakfast based on 2 people sharing and £330 for single occupancy. This includes use of facilities also which are a swimming pool and sauna (ideal for the other half’s)

Dinner would also be optional at £35pp for the Saturday night which includes a 3 course meal.

I am aware the costs are slightly higher so I have also checked locally and there is a premier inn within 4 minutes drive which would be £248 for 2 nights based on a double room and 2 people.

Local to me too, and I missed the previous Lakes annual meeting, so this is a very easy "I'm in".

Lots of choices of places to eat - and, of course, loads of great driving roads too .

Unfortunately I'd have to opt for one of the other accommodation venues. Just need some clarification on the block booking you mention. Has the hotel implemented that, or are you still trying to determine whether to go ahead with this based on interest and feedback here?

Once it's a GO, I'll book the appropriate dates elsewhere.

Sorry I seem to have caused unnecessary confusion, the overnights are indeed the Friday and Saturday, with the events part usually all day Saturday and Sunday morning

Hi all, apologies for the delay. Finally back home after a cancelled flight yesterday..

I’ve been in touch with the hotel and just confirming a few final things. Once complete I’ll post up a main attendance thread, hopefully in the next couple of days!
