This has been photoshopped... I can tell by the pixels and that I have seen some photoshops elsewhere

Couldn't resist it!

Just in the door 10 minutes after driving up the road using the wee man's iPod and speakers for the ICE (bloody MMI!)

Ditto what Singh said and thanks for the Barbie, those who played mother and didn't give me food poisoning are appreciated.

I want James's S8 in my study and whilst I would not go as extreme as him it's definitely made me want sport suspension if not coilovers all round. Ah well, budget will determine.

Tony was not a brummie, much to my disappointment.

The sight of Mikes hair at nine in the morning, flapping romantically in a force nine gale as he filled a bucket to wash his car after driving through a puddle. This will truly live with me for ever.

Watching Oli drive through standing water on the M1 at naughty speeds and lazily twitching from side to side. Then following him. "sod it, it'll be a very good looking crash and the look on the tow truck drivers face when he see's what he has to try and winch out of the ditch should be amusing"

A dog called Diesel sniffing my balls whilst Mike talks about polish and rubbing. Oh yes. Haven't enjoyed a sunday that much since Father Flannegan passed away.

Ian in the back of mine sniffing the air as if wine tasting. "Ahhhh, gearbox"

Dave diagnosing a stilleto as the cause of my broken rear vent. The boy's a psychic I tell you. He likes his peppered steak slices as well. He saved them several times from Ian's brake testing. I now know why my wife sometimes whimpers. One forgets how quick they are.

Builder22 "Oh no, I'm not a builder" ????? Lovely to meet you and your brother by the way. Thanks for talking to me, not knowing anyone was a pain at first

Ben Williamson, Ian and Dave, thanks for giving mine the once over. That would be a remap, sports cat mit ludicrous exhaust, Sport/S8 suspension, xenons, brembo's and various interior updates to smarten it up a bit instead of an S8 on the shopping list then.

Thanks to Singh and his friends for being annoyingly young. In my day we lived in hole in t' road etc... Nice car, me bitter?

Ian for showing me his diesel, nice.

Must go, need wine. See you all soon

Bill

Just like to say thanks to the organisers for doing such a good job

Sorry for being late and having to shoot off early, but was nice to meet the peeps I had chance to talk to and the cars to look at.

Look forward to the next one (this time will tell the wife to **** off - OK, perhaps not) and will be there at the start.

Again, cheers

What can I say guys? What a superb day.

Despite being run off my feet, and seeming to run from pillar-to-post all day, I feel that the day was a great success. Despite the weather (I'm now convinced that God is in fact a woman, who despises cars ), the turnout was fantastic.

What was shown yesterday, by all who turned up, was a great commitment to the A8OC. Willing to turn up despite what your guts may have told you (James must have been up until silly o'clock this morning cleaning his '8 after it's day out ), and fighting against adverse weather conditions to get there. I'm sure it came across many minds to turn around and go home.

I personally want to thank you all for making the day worthwhile. You may have seen me breathe a sigh of relief at the end of the day, which really was the pinnacle of a lot of hard work carried out by a few individuals. And I'd like to thank each of them personally:

Botang - Top BBQ Chef (I did notice Boyd giving some assistance )
Tobes - Meet Photographer
Mike - Events Secretary - a great start to the A8OC social calendar
Steve - top location selector

I cannot wait for the next event, and now need to put together an article for Audi Driver magazine

I will do a full write up soon, but for now here's a few of my favourite shots of the day
